Mountain Express provides competitively priced Private Airport Transfers linking Geneva Airport, Chambery Airport, Lyon Airport, Grenoble Airport, Moutiers Station and surrounding cities to the Alpine resorts of the French Rhone Alpes. We provide a year round service for private Ski Transfers, Road Cycling Transfers, Mountain Bike Transfers and Alpine Holiday Transfers.
Our winter operation is based in the Three Valleys in Les Menuires and Brides-les-Bains not far from Moutiers, the gateway to the Tarentaise, so we are perfectly placed to provide Taxi Transfers, Minibus Transfers and Coach Transfers to the resorts of Valmorel, St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires, Val Thorens, Meribel, La Tania, Courchevel, La Plagne, Les Arcs, La Rosiere, Tignes and Val D’Isere and our affiliation with other reputable transfer companies means we can also offer competitive services to the Portes du Soleil, Grand Massif, Massif des Aravis, Espace Diamant & Mont Blanc areas.
During the summer we also operate out of Aix-Les-Bains not far from from Chambery Airport and therefore within easy reach of Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble airports so we are perfectly placed to provide airport transfers to Le Bourg D’Oisans and Alpe D’Huez, the road cycling and mountain bike Meccas of the Alps whilst our Three Valleys office continues to take care of our regular winter service area during the summer months.

Our Vehicles
Our fleet consists of sixteen well maintained VW T6 Caravelle 8 passenger long wheelbase minibuses and two Mercedes V-Class Executive 6 passenger minibus all of which are replaced every 3 years. All 18 vehicles have 4 wheel drive with automatic tiptronic gearboxes to provide a super smooth sure-footed ride, privacy glass, multi-zone passenger controlled air-conditioning and direct bluetooth client media interface so we can confidently claim to have the best fleet in the Alps in terms of specification being offered at a sensible price. In addition to the above we have a 4×4 VW T5 Caravelle 8 passenger LWB minibus and a Land Rover Discovery HSE 6 passenger vehicle permanently on stand-by at base so we have a back-up should it ever be required. We have also forged strong relationships with tried and trusted local suppliers in order to provide transfers in well equipped cars and also larger vehicles for group bookings at rates that you could not achieve yourself by going direct. All vehicles have space for luggage and skis/boards for all the passengers and we also have trailers for Bike Boxes and other bulky sports equipment if required which we transport free of charge.
Our Drivers
We are very proud to state that most of our drivers return to us each winter so they know what they are doing and that we look after them well, so they will look after you well! Meanwhile the new drivers joining us to cater for expansion are, like our returning drivers, all professional, experienced drivers. All our drivers are carefully selected for their friendly, courteous and professional approach and as part of their selection process they must pass a driving assessment carried out by a Police Grade 1 driving instructor. Each season, all our drivers, both new and returning must attend an advanced alpine driving course which is also carried out by a Police Grade 1 driving instructor and each season all drivers must also pass the obligatory medical examination required by law in France to drive fare paying passengers in this strictly legislated industry.
